The Fifth International Scientific Conference “Trade, merchants and customs in Russia in the 16th-20th centuries”

On September 27-29, the Fifth International Scientific Conference “Trade, merchants and customs in Russia in the 16th-20th centuries” was held in Novosibirsk on the basis of the Institute of History of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, organized by a consortium of academic institutions (Institute of History of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of History and archeology of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences).

Employees of St. Petersburg Institute of Science and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in the conference.

Issues related to the study of social, economic, legal, political aspects of the history of trade, merchants and customs in Russia in the 16th–20th centuries have been brought up for discussion. (from 1500 to 1991 inclusive).
